The scene opens with a flashback to the beginning of the film, in which Hiroyuki and Tomoyuki are in the shower together. Hiroyuki has been called out of the shower and asked to do something to keep his friend with them. He says that he asked him to keep him with them, but that the money was too much for him. He tells the story of how he was going out one night with a friend, and the friend showed up just as the shop was getting ready to close. The friend was Hiroyuki's friend from high school, and he and Hiroyuki had lived together for two years. He was able to talk to Hiroyuki about anything and everything, which was enough for him, since he was a good friend. He thinks that it is probably because he accepts sex, which is hard for him since he can't really feel anything for it.
