About This Chapter
In this chapter, the narrator tells the story of a boy in his dream who won a prize in a lottery and then got into an accident. The boy's name is Cai Suo, and he's a student at the same school as the narrator. In the dream, the boy asks the narrator to meet him in the school hallway. The narrator doesn't know who the boy is, but he does know that the boy must be a student named Bai Suo. He tells the boy that the school rewards students who use the school's "beautiful dream world" system to "connect with their mind and synchronize" . In other words, students can use the dream world to connect with the real world. The teacher warns the student that if he continues to use the system outside the school, other students will think that he is using the system to spread "fragrance" during the school day's sports contests. If the student continues to do this, he or she will be considered an "outlier" in the class.
