In this chapter, we are introduced to a young boy named Tiesheng, who tells us that his sister has been kidnapped by the Black Wolves, one of three major gangs that live in the mansion. Tiesheng tells the young master that his father borrowed money from the black wolves, but after a few days, the debt has grown and the family is now in debt. The young master tells the boy to go to his sister, but the boy refuses to do so. He tells the master that he has heard about the good deeds of the north of the mansion, and that the three black wolves are innocent civilians.
