Triter tells the priest that he's been having a dream about eating a giant kamenvert. The priest tells him to turn on the holo-screen and tell him that they're about to die. They're going to be a thousand light years away from Earth, and they can't escape. They need to get back to Earth ASAP. Triter and the priest start their interstellar turbine. They have a new device that's armed with a flash of light. It's called a "phoenix" , and it's going to destroy their proto-siblings . They believe a miracle is going to happen and they'll be able to get to Earth. But they still need to find a way to get there.
