This chapter opens with a discussion between Dubai and his younger brother, Guizhou. Dubai asks Guizhou what he should do if they encounter monsters. Guizhou tells him that he should create opportunities for the brothers to change time. He also tells him to act as a bodyguard for Guizhou and to use the fox's eye to guide their luck. He tells Dubai that he is tired of opposing him. He asks if he actually cares about him, and Dubai replies that he does. They enter an area of active monsters, and Guizhou feels a little uncomfortable. Suddenly, he sees an ice surge, a hundred birds flying into the forest, and a tier five lizard. He exclaims that he did not expect it to do so well.
