"My sadistic secretary" , the narrator says, always makes him come to the "larger fool" . He says he's been selfish in the past, but he hopes that he'll find a way to forgive her. He wants her to know that he loves her, and that he doesn't think he can ever let her go again. He's going to "fill you up" with his love, he says, so that she won't be able to live without him. He promises to give her all of his "beginning and his end," and says that if she ever tells him to resign, he'd never allow it.
