The young man meets with his sadistic secretary at an inn. He tells her that the director of the inn has come up with a plan to woo the young man, and the secretary is impressed. She also tells him that the women of the hotel seem to like him, and that they are always talking about him as if he were a kid. He says that he does not have time to think about all of this, but that he is looking forward to his meeting with the boss. The secretary says that they have prepared rooms for him and his staff, as well as dining and drinks. He asks if he may take his luggage, and when the secretary says yes, he claps to indicate that he will be staying that night. He then asks the secretary to give him a tour of the place, and he says that the hot springs there are "amazing." The secretary agrees, and says that she will have to ask the author of the article to mention it. She then asks him if they can have a drink together, and they agree to do so.
