This chapter opens with a soliloquy by the beast king. The king asks the messenger if he has started to miss his place in the world. The messenger replies that he has not. He says that when he first came to the kingdom, he was shocked and terrified, but as time went on, he realized that he belonged there. He thanks the messenger for being by his side. He tells the messenger to kiss him, stagger his kiss, and rub him with his leg. He also tells him to rub his pant leg, which is dirty, so that he will not have to rub it with his body. He then tells him not to tease him, as he does not want to put him in such a strange position.
