This chapter opens with a soliloquy by the monster king. The monster's name is "Adelinquent" and it belongs to "the beast king" . The king's body is "bad" , and he's afraid of being bitten by the beast's claws . He begs the beast to let him go. The beast bites him on the arm to keep him under control, and the king says it's just a self-inflicted bite to keep himself under control. He's not afraid of the beast, he says, because if he ever does something that sucks again, he'll come up with a way to do it again. This is the first time the monster has ever been bitten by a beast, and this is just the beginning of his search for the beast.
