The next morning, the two of them go for a walk. The narrator tells the two that he's heard that they've been handpicked for a job at Irodori, and they're both excited about the opportunity. But the narrator also tells them that he doesn't want to be like them, and that he wants to be with them for the rest of their lives. He tells them to meet up every week and spend time together, and then he'll leave them alone for six months.
