The next day, the rector of the university calls on Hiroshi. He wants to see Hiroshi, who has just returned from a meeting with some of the company's partners. Hiroshi thanks the rector for his visit, and the rector tells him that the company wants to hire him for product development. The rector asks Hiroshi if he would be willing to work for the company for six months, and Hiroshi says that he is "a little nervous" about the new job. He tells the rector that he will be able to do the job, but he is not sure if he can do it well. He is sure that once he has gone through all the trials and tribulations of life at the university, he will "be much more charming" than he is now.
