The scene opens with a flashback to the previous scene, in which Tsubaki is seen suck the life out of Viola. Viola confesses that she is in love with him and that she feels as though her heart is "floating" in his arms. She asks him if he thinks of her kissing him, and he replies that he does not think of her as kissing him. Viola tells him that she cannot go on with their pretend relationship, because she is afraid that he will think that Viola is trying to seduce him. He tells her that he is not going to tell anyone about what happened the night before, because he had gotten drunk. Viola thanks him for his kind words, and they exchange pleasantries.
