The chapter opens with Tokihisa scolding her sister, Tsubaki, for sneaking into her room without telling her where she was going. Tokihima tells her sister to come over to her room before she sees the boxes stacked in her doorway. Toakihisa is shocked to learn that her sister is drunk, and she invites her to have a drink with her. She says that she is the first person in her life that she has ever wanted to have as a lover, and that she wants to be with her because she is so different from anyone else she has met. She tells him that his sister has had a lot of "binge courtship failures" and that today she added eating to her "usual binge drinking" . She asks him if he could still drink, and he says that he could, but that he is not a heavy drinker. He says that his family is full of sisters, and his sisters push him around to their "hearts content" , and in the end, she leaves a "mess" drinking . He jokes that it is natural for people to have their "strong points" and "weak points," and that if he were to accomplish something on his own, he wouldn't be able to do anything about it, so he would leave it to someone else.
