In this chapter, the monster explains that he has found a way to make the nano-machines in his body obey. He explains that his adoptive father had tried to create a powerful new drug using the body of the orphan gaido, but that it was too dangerous for him to do so. He also explains that the two of them have been avoiding each other, and he wonders how they will feel now that one of them has been killed.
