In this short scene, we learn that Ling-shuang, the wife of the prince, is in fact the murderer of her baby. Ling-Shuang, who has been hiding out with the prince's wife, is now determined to avenge her husband's death. She tells the prince that she has come to get revenge on the man who threw her out of his home and killed her newborn baby. She also reveals that she is the woman who conspired against her husband in order to get married.
