About This Chapter
This chapter opens with the lin clan's servant, the chen, asking the lord to punish Lin tian for attempting to kill the young lord. The chen tells the servant that the matter is a disgrace for the entire clan and asks the lord not to punish him. The servant replies that there is nothing in the system that indicates that lin-tian is still alive. He says that he is a remnant soul with a damaged source, and that he will not be able to survive in the mortal world after he leaves the body. The lord replies that this is the "taste of power". The servant says that the last straw for him is his bond with Lin quihan. He thanks the lord for his kindness and says he will definitely investigate the matter. He tells the servants that they may be dismissed if they do not cremate the corpse of Lin-tian. He adds that he has not yet finished harvesting the dead man. He asks the servant to take him for a walk around the city. He wonders if like su-qingge her luck would steadily increase. He then asks the ling why the other eight taoist cities are rushing to the city of Chongyue, the ancestral home of the lun family. He also asks if the other women in turquoise are the holy maidens of tai-xuan or the eastern wastelands holy maiden. He mentions that he heard that brother ceng-tian has mastered a sacred connection art and that the other woman in turquoise is the daughter of a lin family elder.
