In this chapter, we learn that Gu Chingge, the young master of the immortal clan, has gone to the lower world to find something. He meets the young Miss Ling, who is the granddaughter of the ancient emperor, and they both become enemies. Miss Ling is still daydreaming, and she asks Miss Ling if she has heard any news of the everlasting Gu family's new master, Gu Gongge. She tells Miss Ling that the family had promised him three things: 1) he would be allowed to join the great schools of immortalism, 2) he would have to become a disciple of an immortal, and 3) he would receive a large sum of money as a reward for winning the competition. The young master seems to be taking advantage of this opportunity, and Miss Ling thinks that he must have been secretly manipulating things. She says that she will protect Miss Ling in this life because she knows that the old master has taboo demonic skills. She also says that Gu Ganzge has come to pretend to be a kind person, and that she fears that he will be harsh on Miss Ling because of her. She promises to teach Miss Ling and have her suppress him in the future.
