About This Chapter
The fairy tells the king that the girl is beautiful, and that she will die when she is 15. The fairy also tells him that she is the only fairy not invited to the wedding, because the princess broke one of the golden plates. The king tells the fairy that the princess will grow up to be a beautiful girl who is loved by everyone. She says that her looks and her talents are all the gifts she has been given by the fairies, but that she always has to behave herself because she is always dissatisfied with her gifts. The princess says that the castle has been protected by thorny rose bushes since long ago, and the young prince has been there since then. The girl who called her "sofian" in her dreams, however, is no longer a fairy. The hundred years that the fairies told about the fairy's existence have passed.
