When Torri hears that her master has kicked her out of the house because she wanted to sing instead of work, she begs the donkey to take her to the town of Bremen. Torri tells her that she is the one who just heard her master singing, and she begs to be taken along with her. When the donkey refuses, Torri begs him to stop and show her what he has just heard. She tells him to go to the cottage and look for food to eat. When she sees that the cottage is full of animals, she asks the boy to shake them. The boy does not respond, and Torri blames him for scaring the animals with his ugly appearance. She then tells her mother that the animals are still singing.
