In this chapter, we learn that the three men have been attacked by the dragon, and that the king has dismissed them as traitors. The three men try to convince the king to allow them to continue their mission, but the king refuses, saying that they are not welcome in the kingdom. The men decide to stay behind and fight the dragon alone, and the king agrees to let them do so.
