In the north-zhu region, elder yuan tells his disciple, Chen Lu, to find a place where he can hide so that he won't be able to find his way back to the Wantian sect. The two of them play a game of "slash crash slash rumble rumble" in which they fight each other. After the game is over, elder gu reassures Chen Lu that he has no ill intentions toward him. Three months later, they're back. The leader of the North-zhu sect tells elder gu that he's just received word that elder gu will soon be returning to the sect. He invites elder gu to join him in the preparations for the upcoming tournament. Chen Lu protests that he doesn't want to participate in the tournament.
