This chapter opens with the arrival of Gu Qingyun, the man who helped Linyang ascend to the top of the Mingshou sect. Gu tells the elder Xiao that he has come to ask him to change his clothes so that he will not be recognized by other sects. He asks where Gu is taking him, and the elder replies that the north-zhu region is part of the Lingshen sect. The elder then asks Song yuan if he knows anything about Lucheng's appearance, and Song replies that he did not. He then asks if someone else knows about her physique, and he learns that she was involved in a fight with the juniors. He also learns that the fight was a small skirmish between the juniors, and that it was not a big deal. He decides to ask Song yuan in person, and then apologize to Gu.
