The vine demon is freaking out because he's finally separated from his sister. He's been trying to find a way to help her, but he can't find anyone who's compatible with him. The only way he can get her is to borrow her body. He tells her that he'll let her use his body as long as she keeps her word. He also says that he knows what's going on with Senior Lu, so he knows how to help him. He wants to go down to help Senior Lu. The sect leader is all, "what bullsh!t flame spirits?" , but the vine demon says that flame spirits aren't formless and won't suffer from an attack. He says that Senior Lu has reached a level of strength that's way too high for him to be killed by a single flame spirit. He asks the sect leader if he can absorb the fragments of the flame spirits that are floating in the air. He can also use his newfound strength to get back to his old level of cultivation, which is way higher than the average advanced soul. But he can only do this by releasing the sword soul from Senior Lu's body.
