About This Chapter
In this chapter, Cai tells the story of his dream in which he asks the god of creation to grant the plants the right to re-incarnate. He explains that the demons do not have souls, but they are still living things, so they should not be killed. He also tells Cai that the priests in the country have been sacrificed by the gods, but that there is still one person who can communicate with the gods: the king. Cai begs the king to reconsider his decision. He tells the king that the flower that has bloomed in the dream is the goddess of agriculture. If she agrees to the granting of the plant demons' reincarnation, the gods will spare her from death penalty. The king tells Cai not to blame himself for killing the nine thousand demons in his dream. He says that it is time for him to look forward to the future. Cai asks the king if he is in love with him, and the king replies that he is arrogant and yells at him all the time.
