In this chapter, we learn that Nemo is seriously injured and needs to be taken to a doctor. Nemo asks the palm if he can do him a favor: because of his stubbornness, his companions will die. Nemo tells the palm that he'll take him back to his grandfather, who will make him a special kind of moon cake. The cake will be filled with different kinds of fruit, and the kites that Nemo's grandfather made for him will fly in the air. Nemo says that his grandfather was afraid that Nemo would feel inferior, so he "spoiled" him every day. After his parents, Nemo says, he was useless. He went to college and ignored his grandfather's requests to go home. Now, he doesn't know whether or not he can come back to see his grandfather.
