The teacher comes in and asks for Linda's hand in marriage. She's not having it. She doesn't want him to ask her if she's willing to marry him, but she can't figure out how to ask him. The teacher turns around and starts walking away, scared of what she'll say if she finds out that he's actually in love with her. Linda is all, "Why didn't the brat come and say goodbye to me before I went off to live with my dad?" and then runs off to get her dad.
