In this chapter, we learn that the ants have been fighting with only half the strength of the man they've just defeated. It's a shame that they're being humiliated by the guy they defeated earlier in the chapter, because it's clear that he's not as strong as they thought he would be. In fact, he says, he was only able to seal off the spiritual veins so that they wouldn't be able to fight each other. Now that the seals are sealed, the ants can fight with all their strength. They've been playing with each other since the beginning of the story, and now that they can fight, they can do it alone.
