The metabaron sees the horde of "paleo - cockroaches" swarming around the lake. He tells the crowd that they are here to help the "epyphite," rina, and the rest of the tribe. He orders his scouts to look for the meta-baron. He also tells rina that she has come to insult him. He says that the "rules have recently changed" on algoma and that he is waiting for her to join forces with him. Corinna tells him that they were waiting for him to launch an attack, but that he has decided to wait for the other tribes to join him. She asks him what he thinks of the outcome of the battle, and he replies that the people of the planet have been killed without understanding what is happening to them. He calls them cowards and says that he will kill them all.
