In this chapter, we learn that the metabarons have installed a new governor on Marsola, and that they're going to have to deal with the consequences of their actions. Tonto tells the officers that he's going to kill khonrad as soon as he can. He also tells them that he thinks it's a bad idea to send him into combat with metabaron, since they've already taken control of the galaxy. He's worried that the techno-armada has lost interest in his master, and he wants to make sure that they don't get caught in the middle of the battle.
