About This Chapter
In this second metabaron scene, we learn that the anti-baron's ship has entered the atmosphere of the planet hex. The narrator tells us that it's going to be a lot harder for the metabarons to deal with the troglo-sovereigns than it will be for them. He's also worried about the baby, because he's not sure if the baby will be a boy or a girl. He tells the narrator that he'll never be his wife, and that he won't be able to do anything he wants after the baby's birth. He also tells him that he has ten days to get the baby out of the womb, or else the baby is going to die. He asks the narrator to bring him a female paleo- bison, so that he can feed it the giga-hormones to speed up its development. He says that crying is a sign of weakness, and crying is the most action of all, so he tells him to get his claws on him. He then tells him not to worry, because they've got a lot of work to do before they can kill him.
