Wendy and Carla try to escape, but they can't find a way out. Carla tells us that she's already been planning a way to get out of the monster's prison. She's got a plan: they're going to use a blanket to keep the monster warm, and when they get to the top of the mansion, they'll be able to escape by air. They don't know how to do this, Carla says, because they've got to use their magic to get past the mansion's walls. They're trapped in the forest, she says, and they need to figure out how to escape.
