Four of the village dogs come to rescue Carla, who has been bitten by the bandit. He's afraid that the bandits are getting too big for him, and he's trying to figure out a way to stop them. He wants to know if they can use magic to stop the bandits from stealing his family's treasure. Carla says that they can't, because every body has its own magic that's sucking it up. He tells them that they're just trying to get him dead, and that he'll die if they don't stop. They're all trying to kill him, he says, and they've all been using magic to do it. He doesn't want to be alone, so he tells them to stop using magic and treat him in the village. He says that his wounds aren't healing, so they should use healing magic to heal them.
