In this short scene, we are introduced to a number of characters who have been invited to the "good friends festival" being held at the home of Ye's mother. The first person to arrive at the festival is Man Ming-ling, who introduces himself as "man mei" , or "my good friend." He welcomes everyone to the festival and tells them that the festival will be held at his home. The second person is also introduced as "xiaozhi," or "little friend." The third person is introduced as the "friend" of the festival, and the fourth person is "nengliang," or little friend.
