The story opens in a 10th-grade classroom, where a girl is asleep in a teacup. She tells a story about how she and her friend, Yuyu, took the subway, and how she has to keep a distance from her friend because the train is crowded. The girl is so excited about the story that she blinks shyly at the sight of her friend's face. When she sees that her friend is staring at her, she curses her name and begs her friend to forgive her. She also tells her friend that if she is rich, she should not take the subway with her because she is a "fucking mother" . She begs her mother to stop hitting her and to move to the other side of the train.
