In this short scene, we learn that the haggard old man is still alive, and that he has managed to convince the guards to let him stay at the inn. He tells the guards that he is an immortal ninja and that they must chop off his head if they really want to kill him. The guards are amazed at his ability to heal a wound in minutes, and they are sure that he will be able to do the same for them. The old man tells them that the bastard told him that he raped Kagerou and that she had switched her allegiance from the kouga clan to the iguna. He says that she will be coming to meet him soon, but that she didn't come to see him. They plan to use the old man's lie to their advantage, and use the fact that he lied to them about his rape to draw her into their trap.
