About This Chapter
The magician sings a soliloquy about the future, but it's not visible to anyone. It's a gift from the hanged man, and a curse from Goda the lama. The magician tells us that this card can be interpreted as a sign of spiritual sensibilities, intuitions, or self-sacrifices. He also says that if you do your best, you'll be able to make new friends and maintain a relationship with someone. The next time the magician sings this song, he tells us, he's closed for the night, but he does have special customers who stop by after midnight. Kitty says she doesn't think she'll regret it, and the magician asks her if she wants to meet him at an amusement park. She says she'd like to, but no one will date her because of her father's name. She wishes she had a boyfriend, too, but she can't get one because of who her father is. She wants to go to the amusement park with someone hot, and she asks the magician if he can take her to the train station. He says he'll take her there. He tells her that she has three lives, and that fulfilling cats have only three lives right. He then asks her where she is going to be that night, and then he asks her one more question: "where are you going to butterfly tomorrow night?" Kitty says that she're not "an ordinary person" . The
