It's not going to happen, says the narrator, and she's got nowhere to go. She begs her uncle to take her in, but he won't, because he's going to have to move her cousin's apartment. The narrator tells Lee that she can stay for a while, but she'll have to leave as soon as she finds a new place to live. She doesn't know why, but it's because her uncle's coming back from abroad. She's staying with her cousin, who's living with her uncle, so she needs to find an apartment for her. Lee tells her that there's nothing to worry about, since she can just stay for the night, but then she has to move out the next day
