This short scene takes place at an amusement park in the middle of the summer. The narrator complains to his friend, Moritz, about the activities at the amusement park. Moritz complains that the park is "silly" and that he doesn't want to go there because he's not a kid. He also complains about the fact that the other boys are there, too, and that they eat his food. Moritz apologizes and tells the narrator that he'll treat him to a ride on the Ferris wheel.
