About This Chapter
Lap 51: The World Is Yours. Billy wishes he could spend more time with him. He says he's sure he won't be able to see him in England, but he'll see him again in the future. He also says he wants to beat the man who taught him the art of racing. He's looking forward to meeting him again. Billy says he plans to race in all of Japan next season, which will give him the chance to beat his old friend. He adds that he is joining a team that started three years ago with a former road race champion. He tells Billy that he thought he'd be near the woman he loves, but now she's way ahead of him. Billy feels bad for leaving him to do all of the work. He asks about the slipstream, which is a phenomenon in which a rider's helmet is lowered in the air behind another rider. He wonders if his princess is really a thing. She's not, he says, a princess, she'll soon be a queen.
