They're both trying to stay ahead of each other, but they can't, because they're too far apart to be separated by a single lap. Throttle-wise, it seems like they've got a good shot at winning the race, but that's just not going to happen. Finally, the two guys get to the front of the pack, and Throttle says that he's feeling pretty good about himself, too. He's done all he can for now, but he doesn't have the "snoozing" that he needs to win the race. He asks Throttle if he can go out and race for both of them, and he says he'll do that, but not at the expense of his future ability. He says he feels like he has a good chance to win this race, and that he can do it even if he has to wait until the end of the season to do it. The two guys start talking about the next race, which is in two weeks' time, and they both agree that they'd like to race for each other. But Throttle's not sure what to do, so he asks if they can just go out there and race, or if they should just race for the other guy.
