Lap 18 : Memory Lap 18 As the sun sets on the final lap of the race, Lap 18 is a flashback to the first part of the previous race, when Lap 18 was a memory. Lap 18 begins with a conversation between the rider and the helmet. The helmet asks the rider if he remembers what happened on the previous lap, and the rider replies that he remembers nothing. He then asks the helmet to stop, but the helmet refuses to do so, saying that he will not let the other rider pass him. The two men continue to argue, with the rider saying that the helmet caused him to fall, while the helmet says that it was the rider's fault that they collided. The rider says that he is not going to let the helmet pass him, and he will hold the lead until he can catch up to the rider.
