The scene opens with a conversation between a student and a transfer student. The transfer student, named Negoya, has just finished talking to Toppu, and she's not sure what to say to him. She's so excited to be introduced to the other students in the class that she asks them all questions about her life and about the people in her life. She also asks if they know where she lives, and they all say yes. She then asks about the school year, and the students say yes, and then she asks what they're doing. She asks about their hobbies and about their strongest subject, and when they say that they know her, she says that she saw her during the race, and that she'll be in the front row for the next race next week. The student says that he's coming to the race because he heard that you've been winning, and he wants to know why you're going to win. He asks if she is a friend of Toppu's, and if she'd be a good friend of his. She says that her name's already decided to race with him in the next class next year, so she can come watch him. He's excited to see her, and tells her that he just wants to advance in his class to the next one. She tells him that she and Toppu have different races, so they can watch each other. The two of them go off to the races.
