About This Chapter
It's now lap 50, and we're back on the inside of the track to see what it's like to be on the outside. We're reminded that this is the first time we've ever seen the track from the inside, so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. It turns out that William has gone inside, and that's why he can't keep up with him. The only way to keep up is to stay on top of the other guy's rear tire, and then use the rear tires to rev up the front. Then, when he gets to the first turn, he's going to block the other guys' lane. He's not sure if he can hang with William and takadai, but he knows he has a good chance of winning this race. The two of them have been trading positions all day, and now they're getting close to the end of the race, and William is getting ready to take the inside on a hairpin, so he'll have to get ahead of him. But the helmet isn't going to let him do that, and he doesn't want to lose any more time than he already has. He tells us that the hairpin is bumpy, and the only way he can stay ahead of William is to control the inside. The helmet ends up being too low, so the rider has to go down to the bottom to get it back. The rider says that he was going to take it easy on the hairpin, but after seeing how pumped up William is, he has to get back on top. He says that if he loses this race, he won't be able to do it again, because the inside is hiss. He also says that the only reason he didn't finish last place is because he needed to help William all the way around the track. But, he says, it was worth it, because it was William's fault that he didn
