About This Chapter
Lap 19 is a long one, and it's a long way from the start of the race to the finish line. It's hard to believe that it has been a while since the last time we saw the two of them, but they're back on the road again. They're talking about how they've been having a hard time keeping up with the other riders, and how their brains are starting to go crazy. They apologize, and then they head back to training. The helmet is still on, and the rider says he's done. He's not sure what to do now, but he doesn't want to be near the other rider's helmet, either. The rider says that he'll be back soon, and they head off to get back on their training wheels. He tells the rider that he needs to work on his "sense of humor" . He says that if they got into a friendly rivalry, he'd be happy for the rider to lose his touch, and that's just too bad, because it'll make them both feel better. He asks the rider if they can try something new, and he says that maybe they should try riding their bikes, since they'd feel better if they were out on the track. He then asks if they could borrow his gear for a little while, and says that at least he can use his spare parts for something. The two go off to play tag.
