Back at the villa, the Governess tells Elmire that she will take her to the hospital tomorrow to "reshape her face" in order to make her look like Elmire. Elmire tells her that she has no choice but to leave the villa. She tells him that if he returns, he will "lead a bitter life" than he did before. She warns him that he will have to return a month later to get a check for the cost of his stay.
