This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, in which Guo and his men capture the heart demon and kill him. The flashback shows that Guo has been using his thousand poison sense to control the demon's heart, and that he has been unable to kill the demon because he has not yet captured the right person. Guo tells his men to take off all of his clothes for the next six minutes. He tells them that if they do not, he can do whatever he wants with the girl. He says that he will ask Guo to kill him painlessly. He then tells Guo that if he kills him, he will absorb Guo's powers and escape the clutches of his poison-control techniques.
