The doctor warns Caizhou that if he doesn't get rid of the poison quickly, he'll definitely die. He's worried that the zhous are going to use the poisoned mountain as leverage to force Caizhou to sell the mountain to them. Caizhou is all, "I'll die if I don't cure the poison." The doctor tells him to chill out, because he's about to die. The doctor also tells Caizhou about a bet that Caizhou and another man are having with each other: Caizhou will win if he kills the other man. The other man will lose if Caizhou kills the doctor. This is a big deal, because Caizhou's a big fish in a small pond, and Caizhou wants to make sure that he wins. He wants to kill Caizhou, too.
