This is a locked chapterVol.4 Chapter 22: Hedwig and the Angry Inch
About This Chapter
In this chapter, the narrator tells us that he's used all of the books in the series before. He tells us about how he used to be a riot police officer. He used to build barricades and participate in protests. He's not a very good reader, so he doesn't really know what the riot police are like. He says that he has a lot of hate, love, and regret, which is why he works in the front lines. He also says that the rain is still coming down at night. He wonders what he has for dinner. He sees that the play he saw was a double-cast, and he thinks that he can see the roles of sayoko and Aiko in the play. The narrator says that love comes from the symposium, and that humans look at each other and spend their lives looking for each other's other halves. He wants to know how to play the role of Aiko. He knows that he needs to distance himself from Yuji, but he also knows that acting is a dirty profession. He asks the narrator to help him make the role stand out. He suggests that the narrator act out Aiko and sayoko in the same way, as if they were mirrors. He then tells the narrator that he wants to act out Yuji as well.
