Si Mingpei tries to get Si Mingzhou to listen to him, but Si Mingfei tells him that there is nothing between him and Si Ming, and that Si Ming has no right to be angry with Si Ming. Si Ming says that he went to visit his aunt, and when the tram broke, he met Si Ming on his way home, and he just happened to see Si Ming when he was returning home from the aunt's house. Si Lingfei says that it is all Si Ming's fault, because Si Ming didn't listen to his explanation, and so he blames Si Ming for not keeping his cool, and says Si Ming should dress up, but that she should stay away from Si Ming because she looks like a "bastard." Si Ming tells Si Ming to end her marriage, and to come live with her the next day, because she will always be there, and she will not need to worry about where Si Ming is going. She says that if Si Ming cancels her marriage now, Si Ming will not be able to attend school, and will not receive any support from her family if she calls it off, because her family will not support Si Ming if she goes back to her marriage
