About This Chapter
The scene opens in the kitchen of the household of Gu and Weiyi. Weiyi is overjoyed to be back in the household, and thanks her husband for his hospitality. He tells her that he has something important to tell him, and he wants to meet with him in person. Gu yiran is pleased to hear this, and weiyi thanks him for his kind words. She tells him that she has booked a table for the whole family at the restaurant, and she is very pleased with the food. She asks him if he thinks it is a little overboard, but he says that sometimes it is worthwhile to have surprises in one's daily life. He says that he had always been aware of his wife's perfect beauty, and that he is glad to have a husband who is so handsome. He asks her to bring him an important paper, but she refuses to do so, saying that she wants to go home and bring it to her office. He then asks her if she would like to go and get tickets to an amusement-park, which he has arranged specially for her.
